The Deposit Protection Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic held an information session for its employees focused on anti-corruption measures.

During the event, participants discussed key amendments to anti-corruption legislation, as well as measures to prevent corruption-related offenses and the procedure for holding individuals accountable for corruption.

One of the main legal acts regulating anti-corruption issues is the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Combating Corruption” dated August 8, 2012, No. 153. This law defines the fundamental principles, mechanisms, and directions of anti-corruption efforts and establishes the legal framework for preventing corruption offenses within state authorities and local self-government bodies.

The key provisions of the law include:

• the obligation of state bodies to implement measures aimed at preventing corruption;
• the establishment of effective mechanisms to monitor compliance with anti-corruption legislation;
• the development of an anti-corruption culture among public servants and citizens.
